The first week of November was tough here in north Missouri. The mature bucks were on lockdown and virtually had zero movement. We were lucky to catch one mature buck cruising during daylight hours that was willing to cooperate and our client connected with a great deer. The bucks should be breaking loose one at a time some to start cruising again and checking for the next does. It will be slow hunting as a whole, but there will be movement of good bucks. Our trail cameras really showed us exactly what I've talked about above, as from Nov. 3 through right now, our movement of mature bucks on camera went from steady to almost none. We'll keep checking cameras every couple of days when we can keep from disrupting areas to see what the latest movement is.
